1. Overview

This Return & Refund Policy applies to all purchases made from HorizonArt and complies with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA). By purchasing our drawing kits, you agree to the terms below.

2. Cooling-Off Period (Direct Marketing Only)

In accordance with Section 16 of the CPA:

A 5 business day cooling-off period applies only to purchases made through direct marketing (unsolicited contact).

Items must be returned unused, in original packaging, and in resalable condition.

HorizonArt reserves the right to deduct reasonable costs for return shipping and handling.

3. Defective or Faulty Products (6-Month Warranty)

In line with Section 56 of the CPA, all HorizonArt drawing kits carry a 6-month implied warranty of quality.

Customers may return products within 6 months of purchase if the item:

Is defective

Is not fit for its intended purpose

Does not match the description or sample

HorizonArt reserves the right to:

Inspect and test the returned product before approving any claim

Repair, replace, or refund the item in accordance with the CPA

Claims may be rejected if:

The defect is caused by misuse, negligence, or normal wear and tear

The product has been altered or improperly handled

4. Returns for Change of Mind (Not Accepted)

HorizonArt does not accept returns for:

Change of mind

Incorrect product selection

No longer wanting the item

This is permitted under the CPA and helps us maintain product quality and hygiene standards.

5. Condition of Returns

All approved returns must:

Include the full drawing kit and all components

Be in original packaging

Be free from damage not caused by a defect

HorizonArt reserves the right to:

Reject incomplete or damaged returns

Charge a reasonable fee if items are not returned in original condition (where legally allowed)

6. Refunds

Refunds are processed within 7–14 business days after inspection and approval

Refunds are issued via the original payment method

Delivery/shipping fees are non-refundable, unless the return is due to a confirmed defect or HorizonArt error.

7. Exchanges

We only offer exchanges where:

The product is defective or damaged upon receipt

HorizonArt may choose to:

Replace the item, or

Provide a refund if replacement is not possible

8. Return Process

To initiate a return:

Clear description of the issue

Photos/videos showing the defect (required)

Wait for written approval before returning any product

Ship the item to the address provided

Important:

Returns sent without approval may be refused

Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the item is defective.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law:

HorizonArt is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Liability is strictly limited to the purchase price of the drawing kit
